Description:

http://greenpeace.org/brightidea These are obsolete, but widely available, energy wasting incandescent lightbulbs. This type of bulb wastes 95 percent of its energy generating heat instead of light. This wasted energy mostly comes from burning fossil fuels like coal - causing climate change by adding carbon dioxide to our atmosphere. We crushed these bulbs in Berlin while EU and G8 ministers were meeting there for the, "Energy Efficiency: Shaping Tomorrow's World" conference to send them a message. Greenpeace is calling for national bans on energy wasting lightbulbs, and enforcement of an EU-wide mandatory efficiency standard on domestic lighting by 2010.

How much energy did it take to crush these light bulbs? How much energy did it take to make this film? How much energy did it take to drive your lame ass to crush-in? How much energy did it take to make the dies for your hair, and the makeup that covers your face? How much energy did it take to watch this lame green-wanker video? LONG LIVE THE REAL LIGHT BULB - INCANDESCENT BULBS FOREVER

Actually, these lightbulbs are such energy wasters it is less polluting to destroy even new ones then use them. Shocking but true! So don't wait - switch to CFLs today.

Awesome! <3 Greenpeace, they're awesome! We use CLFs all over our house. The quality of CFLs have really improved over the years, they're great!
