Description: Welcome to the Sunday Matinee with the Moonshiner. I am happy to present to you a wonderful movie : Shenandoah ( 1965 )with James Stewart who plays the character of Mr. Anderson, a Virginia farmer during the civil war. He refuses to support the Confederacy because he is opposed to slavery, yet he will not support the Union because he is opposed to war. When his son is taken prisoner, Stewart goes to search for the young boy and sees first hand the horrors of war, he is at last forced to take a stand. Truly one of my favorite movies. It will make you laugh, cry and warm your heart. Enjoy! |
