Description: Per popular request: A tutorial/ how to play on Teardrop by Massive Attack. a.k.a the House theme. Good luck/enjoy and don't forget to post a video reply if you've got it down. Very suitable or beginners, shetmusic at www.bennink.info/acda and the regular video is at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F4fQi41-2eA Please note I very rarely do tutorials, for one I'm not that good at them and for two: it takes me ages (see the outtakes for proof...). |

DarkSwordmaster ::: Favorites 2007-12-29 21:02:15 I don't blame you. Even with a manual those things are rediculous at times. __________________________________________________
johnnydepprulez ::: Favorites 2007-12-29 18:33:27 hey i know this sounds really cheeky but can u send me the video of you playing this and this one as my internet keeps logging off and cant see it all and i'd love to play it your very talented! __________________________________________________
10milesfromnowhere ::: Favorites 2007-12-29 14:17:14 Well, I'm struggling my way through my tenth attempt at understanding Finale now, so things might improve ;) __________________________________________________
DarkSwordmaster ::: Favorites 2007-12-29 14:05:04 Don't get me wrong, I'm incredibly greatful! And it's obvious it's not on the right hand because it's a two octave leap, and as far as I know no one has that on a single hand. It's just the matter that it jumps from staves that is bothersome. It's not impossible to read, but it is a bump in the road because the road crew fell asleep. __________________________________________________
10milesfromnowhere ::: Favorites 2007-12-29 04:57:13 Magic Notation 2. Finale/Sibelius won't let me change the duration of the note AFTER I've entered it. Magix lets me drag the note sideways and the rests auto adjust. It probably lets me set a "split point" if I look for it, but I think any pianist will figure out that if the notes in the "left hand" are spread too wide apart you ought to play the top ones with the right. I've never had "complaints" before - usually it's "I'm really glad someone took the time to transcribe".. __________________________________________________
DarkSwordmaster ::: Favorites 2007-12-29 04:33:49 What did you write it with if I may ask? I just wonder because it's weird that the right hand goes off of the trelbe clef and onto the bas clef. It's not an impossible challenge, but it's still poorly written as such. It's a great song, it's just "hard to read". __________________________________________________
10milesfromnowhere ::: Favorites 2007-12-29 04:05:03 Grin, I didn't realize my dad left his phone home..! __________________________________________________
10milesfromnowhere ::: Favorites 2007-12-29 04:04:49 Ehm, I wrote the sheetmusic (and did the tutorial)... glad at least one of those worked for you ;) Best wishes for 2008! __________________________________________________
HenusM ::: Favorites 2007-12-28 16:12:22 I like it when u get a text message!lol :) __________________________________________________
DarkSwordmaster ::: Favorites 2007-12-28 15:59:34 This is extremely well done, especially because I couldn't follow the sheet music at the link you provided. It's just too poorly written to sightread fluently for a beginner. It has the right hand parts jumping to and fro from the treble clef to the bass clef, which I couldn't follow. Watching you play more closely I realise how it's played now. __________________________________________________
