ar1ge2ha3 ::: Favorites 2007-10-20 15:52:02 sixty years ago I hear my father whent talk to me about a singer who sings after his son die, and the tears role over the blackcorn on his face.Later when I was a teen I saw the pictures about Jolson (many, many times)buy the records and became a fan of Jolson. To day - AT LAST - I can see Jolson in Sonny Boy. Thank you, thank you AJCQN __________________________________________________
Kwiksilver241 ::: Favorites 2007-10-26 14:07:24 I too recall my father singing this very song to me when I was a young boy back in the 1930's. I could never understand why the "Sonny Boy" scene was cut from "The Jolson Story" but at least we heard Jolson sing it in "Jolson Sings Again". Thanks for this video, it certainly brings back memories of my childhood. __________________________________________________
TecDes ::: Favorites 2007-10-28 13:18:59 This song was before my time but I think it's sooo good - it's so sad and I can't help getting a tear in my eye. __________________________________________________
Broadway789 ::: Favorites 2007-10-31 19:44:06 I love watching him. There WILL never be another quite like him. He and my grandfather were first cousins. I wish I had known them both. __________________________________________________
tonski79 ::: Favorites 2007-11-09 16:50:18 Kwiksilver...the reason The Sonny Boy scene was cut from TJS is because at a sneek preview before it was released, the scene was so powerful, done almost like the original, the audiance could not recover from it so it was decided to take it out before the release date __________________________________________________

Michaelbos ::: Favorites 2007-12-08 00:31:36 Great song by Jolson. There is only one other singer that sings this to a credit of Jolson. Jimmy Roselli __________________________________________________ |
