Bitching and complaining is very different then the situation you speak of, but yes, even then I think they need a punch in the face, and I would do it myself...and then probably protest with them in that case. Maybe requiring the inclusion of a "receipt" that you voted in the first tax return you have to file following the first election you were legally about to vote in? The real important things are what we do in life besides voting. What else do you do that really makes a difference? Putting so much emphasis on this election is important. What else do I do that really makes a difference. Everything I can.
