SOUTH SURREY (NEWS1130) - A horrific evening for people vacationing at the Hazelmere RV Park close to the US border. People on the scene say they saw the balloon burst into flames shortly after take off and land in the park igniting trailers. Surrey Mounties say there were 13 people on board at the time of the accident, of those two have not been accounted for. It believed that some of the passengers may have been from the same family. They have been transported to various hospitals around the Lower Mainland to be treated for 2nd degree burns and fractures. Three mobile homes have been damaged by the fire but no one was inside them at the time. The balloon is owned by a Langley Company. |
